Technical Sales Manager

Your Tasks

  • For our CTS Division location in Hinckley, we are currently seeking a Technical Sales Manager.

  • As a Technical Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing the customer relationship and meeting customer expectations all the way from initial enquiry through to quotation and order reciept.

  • You will have responsibility for managing existing customer relationships and actively identifying business development opportunities with both new and existing clients.

  • You will be the first point of contact for customer enquiries and deal with the process from enquiry through to customer quote utilising the in-house noise program, updated price list and quoting support tools.

  • The Technical Sales Manager will take an active role in developing the sales budget and be responsible for delivery of financial targets.

Your Skills

  • Qualified to HNC level in an engineering or related discipline, or equivalent level of experience, you will have gained practical experience of manufacturing processes in an engineering environment.  Knowledge of our type of equipment such as acoustic silencers and filters and / or knowledge of generator set, power generation or related markets is desirable but not essential. Experience of general / detailed arrangement drawings using a design package such as AutoCAD or solidworks would also be an advantage.

  • The ability to understand the customers requirements and specification and prepare and present proposals to the customer is essential. As is experience of business marketing and the use of social media to promote products.

  • You must have exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate at a senior level. Commercial and financial awareness is essential. SAP experience is desirable.

  • You must have a logical and systematic approach to tasks with the ability to prioritise workloads and be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines. You will need to have a flexible approach and be able to work independently and within a team.

  • You should be flexible with regard to travel since projects may occasionally take you around both the UK and overseas, normally for short periods of time.
